We have been in business since 1959, making us the oldest and largest, locally-owned, complete electric motor repair and service facility in Louisiana. We repair all types of AC and DC motors and generators of any size.

Any time a job is determined defective workmanship, within a 12 month period, the work is redone free of charge. We continue to set new standards in quality and performance. We are committed to maintaining the best equipment possible to meet the customers’ needs and take advantage of advanced technologies. In addition, we provide on-going training for all of our employees through specialized technical courses sponsored by the industry such as: a) CSI/Emerson vibration analyzer school in Houston, Texas; b) Kingsbury thrust bearing training; c) Schenck Treble balancing equipment training; d) Baker surge test equipment training; e) NTN bearing and SKF bearing training seminars; f) MCE max training and g) Hipotronics training. Electrical Apparatus Service Association (EASA), Watson Engineering, and Richard Love Associates, provide training seminars & work-shops in all aspects of electric motor repairs and testing to ensure our employees stay current with changes in our industry.

We are licensed and certified.

We are approved by Underwriters Laboratories to rebuild electric motors and generators for hazardous locations.

We are an approved Warranty Station

We are approved for the following manufacturers: Baldor, General Electric, Leeson, Lincoln, Marathon, Reliance, Siemens, Teco-Westinghouse, Toshiba, U.S., and WEG.

Growing to meet customer needs.

Our 13,000 sq. ft. expansion to the repair facility now provides additional room for all of our departments. This area includes two (2) 20-ton cranes, giving us lifting capabilities of 40 tons, and room for our newly-installed Horizontal Boring Mill with a 4’ x 8’ table and a 5 inch spindle, along with our Steelman 10’x10’x10’ Burn-out Oven.

We, the employees of Red Stick Armature Works are dedicated to meeting our clients’ requirements while surpassing their expectations. Management’s goal is to involve every employee in the continuous improvement of the quality in our motor repair facility and services.

Total Quality Management

An indication of Red Stick Armature’s dedication to quality is the requirement that each employee successfully completes our TQM course. We, as a team, continually strive to improve the quality of our repair facility and field services by reviewing our work process in regular quality meetings.


We stand behind our work!!! If at any time a job is determined to be defective due to workmanship within a 12-month period from the date our customer receives the motor, the work will be redone at no cost to the customer.
